6 Fantasy Worlds We’d Love To Visit… As Long As The Big Bad Is Gone.

I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve totally immersed myself in different fantasy worlds. Whether it’s a book, a movie, or a tv show, I catch myself longing to be able to visit.
Then, the practical side of me takes hold and amends the idea. I won’t go making any travel arrangements to these worlds until most of the danger has passed.
6 Fantasy Worlds We’d Love To Visit… As Long As The Big Bad Is Gone.
Fantasy World #1: Erilea (Throne of Glass)
Now that the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas has concluded with Kingdom of Ash, I would love to visit a world with hot fae males, broody princes turned kings, and take no prisoners witches. Plus, Erilea gets bonus points for castles and courts full of sass.
Fantasy World #2: Hogwarts (Harry Potter)
J.K. Rowling has said it herself that Hogwarts will always be there to welcome us home! And she’s not wrong! This is one of the few fantasy worlds on this list where you can visit a real-world equivalent. Whether it’s by taking a Warner Brothers studio tour of the sets in London or Hollywood or spending a day at a Universal Studios theme park location, the world really can come to life!
But those locations still don’t have magic, so I’ll just be over here waiting until they do…

Fantasy World #3: Westeros (Game of Thrones)
I’ll admit, even now that the HBO series has concluded, I still have some hesitation about visiting the world of Game of Thrones. Sure, the literal “game” and the danger that goes hand in hand with it seems to have come to an end. But it’s still a world full of cutthroat characters. Still… the lush world of Westeros begs to be explored.
I’ll just make sure I bring a bodyguard or twenty.
Fantasy World #4: Tortall (Tamora Pierce)
To those who know me well, I’m sure it’s no surprise to find Tortall on this list. Tamora Pierce has created a sprawling world that she adds to with almost every book she writes.
I’d love to visit in the age of King Jon especially– and then I can soak up the history of characters from years past. And I stand a better chance at meeting my favorite characters that way!

Fantasy World #5: The Four Nations (Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra)
Again, no surprise to anyone who knows me–or even to readers who have read my first series. I loooooove the idea of Elemental Magic. I’d love to visit a world where I can see earth, air, fire, and water commanded that way.
And if I happen to visit during the time of Avatar Korra, I’d also get a little bit of a fun steampunk sort of element in!
Fantasy World #6: Arendelle (Frozen)
Do you wanna build a snowman?
(I’m sorry, I had to.)
Listen, I live in South Florida, so you can bet your patootie that if I can escape the heat for a little bit with a queen who has magic snow powers, that is absolutely an opportunity I’m going to seize.
